Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 29, 2026

Draft for review: This policy is a starting template tailored to how FinsightCFO operates today. Please have it reviewed by a qualified attorney before relying on it publicly.

Overview

FinsightCFO (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides AI-assisted CFO reports for small businesses. You send us your financial files, our team reviews and analyzes them, and we send a completed report back to you. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.

Information we collect

  • Financial documents you submit, the reports, statements, and exports you email to us (for example, profit & loss statements, balance sheets, bank statements, revenue and expense reports, and accounting exports).
  • Contact and business details, your name, email address, business name, and any context you share when you reach out or place an order.
  • Basic site usage, standard, non-identifying information your browser sends when you visit our website.

How we use your information

We use the information you submit solely to deliver the service you requested: reviewing your numbers, performing AI-assisted analysis, building your report, and communicating with you about it.

AI processing: Your submitted financial data is processed by third-party AI models (including Anthropic's Claude) to assist with analysis and report generation. This means your data is transmitted to and processed by these AI services as part of producing your report. We do not use your data to train AI models, and we select AI providers with enterprise-grade data handling policies. By submitting your files, you consent to this processing. If you have concerns about AI processing of your data, please contact us before submitting.

Our reports are AI-assisted and may contain errors or inaccuracies. You should independently verify important figures before making financial decisions based on our reports.

What you should not submit

Please do not send passwords, bank login credentials, Social Security numbers, or other unnecessary sensitive personal information. We do not need them to produce your report, and we ask that you keep them out of your submissions.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information you share with us and limit access to the people who need it to do the work. Please be aware that information sent by email is not encrypted end-to-end; if you would prefer a more secure way to share documents, contact us and we will arrange one. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Sharing your information

We do not sell your information. We share it only as needed to provide the service (for example, with trusted tools we use to analyze data), or where required by law. Any service providers we use are expected to handle your information responsibly.

Data retention

We keep your submitted files and reports only as long as needed to provide the service and meet legitimate business or legal requirements. You may ask us to delete your information, and we will do so where we are not required to retain it.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, request a copy, or ask us to correct or delete it. To make a request, email contact@finsightcfo.org.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date above.
